We were really not impressed with this restaurant. While the owners and waitstaff are excellent, there were two problems.

1. The food. There is a lot lacking in the food. For example, the fish tacos were cornmeal breaded and very small. Not to mention, the side was fries!?

2. The cleanliness. This was enough to make me disappointed. The tables are obviously pretty old, and there was a lot of buildup (who knows exactly what) stuck in between the 'marble' and the wood. The floor was dirty, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while.

It was just not very impressive.

I would avoid this restaurant. It took us almost two hours to eat at this restaurant and we were seated right away. They took so long to take our order and bring our food. When our food came out, it was not good at all. My son ordered a pancake and it was not cooked throughly, the nachos did not have hardly any cheese and the chips were stale. My meat on my tacos was very odd. I couldn't tell if the was raw or if they used a strange seasoning blend. I didn't eat it and no even bothered to ask if there was something wrong with the food. The staff acted like there was no problem and seemed to be oblivious to their mistakes.

Great food on the road and on the budget! Chicken tacos as well as pork tacos were just right. The service was fast and cheerful (thanks Danny). I do not think they serve alcohol, but then again we were on our way to Amarillo and iced tea was all we needed.

Okay is pushing it, the family did enjoy the food. So as we are leaving the restaurant I find out the fish and chips are all you can eat. No one at the restaurant said anything. The hostess at the cash register had my family standing there over 5 minutes waiting to pay our check, then she walks away. Another person walks to the register and says can I help you. I just wanted to pay for the dinner and LEAVE. Food okay everything else the pits.

Stopped in after 12 hours on the road. The waitress was friendly and attentive. My Dr pepper was never empty, and the food was quite good. Decent price and excellent food and service. Will definitely be back next time I'm through the area
